For the fifth time since the start of the 2023 season, Colorado will be featured on FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff Show when the Buffs travel to play Central Florida on Saturday in Orlando. BNKO FACTS / GAMEDAY FACTS
- Boulder hosted the Big Noon Kickoff Show three times during the 2023 season on September 9 (Nebraska), 16 (Colorado State), and 30 (Southern California). Big Noon Kickoff started on September 20, 2019.
- Colorado was part of the Big Noon Kickoff Show as a visiting team for the Buffs’ 2023 season opener at TCU on September 2.
- The Week 3 edition of the Big Noon Kickoff Show in 2023 was broadcast from Boulder for the Rocky Mountain Showdown – which ESPN also chose as its site for GAMEDAY rather than Penn State at Illinois as initially scheduled, marking the first time that the Big Noon Kickoff Show was broadcast from the same site for two consecutive weeks, and the first time that it was broadcast from the site of a game not televised by Fox.
- Boulder has hosted ESPN’s GAMEDAY four times, including September 16, 2023 (Colorado State). Other GAMEDAY visits to Boulder were September 23, 1995 (Texas A&M), October 28, 1995 (Nebraska), and September 14, 1996 (Michigan). GAMEDAY made its debut on November 13, 1993.
- Colorado was part of the GAMEDAY shows on October 29, 1994 (at Nebraska), September 30, 1995 (at Oklahoma), and September 13, 1997 (at Michigan).
- Lee Corso made his 400th headgear pick on GAMEDAY on September 16, 2023, when he picked CU over Colorado State.
- GAMEDAY has also been in The Centennial State three other times at Air Force for games on November 3, 2001 (Army West Point), October 19, 2002 (Notre Dame), and November 7, 2009 (Army West Point).
- Colorado State’s only participated in GAMEDAY once for the 2023 CU game in Boulder.
