With the women’s conference races heating up, seven of 16 schools in the Centennial State are off to good starts, led by Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference co-leader Colorado State Pueblo.
CSU Pueblo (6-0 conference, 11-3 overall) is currently on a nine-game winning streak and plays on the road this weekend at Colorado Mines (2-4, 4-10) on Thursday and defending RMAC champions Regis (4-2, 6-7) on Saturday afternoon.
The Pack will face Regis for the second time this season after defeating the Rangers 80-72 on January 3 at Pueblo. The Rangers have won the last two RMAC post-season titles by defeating Mines (2023, 65-61) and UC Colorado Springs (2024, 76-64) on their home floor.
Western Colorado (5-1, 10-3) has been the early season surprise, as the Mountaineers were picked to finish 10th in the preseason polls. Western hosts Colorado Mesa (4-2, 9-4) on Tuesday before traveling to Salt Lake to challenge Westminster (2-4, 3-10). Colorado Mesa, the preseason RMAC favorite, hosts Westminster on Saturday.
Colorado College (3-1, 11-2) is second in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference’s Blue Division after having its seven-game losing streak snapped at Texas Lutheran (4-0, 10-2) on Sunday. The Tigers host SCAC Gold Division rivals Concordia (0-1, 5-5) on Friday and McMurry (2-0, 9-2) on Sunday.
Colorado State (3-1, 12-5) is tied for third in the Mountain West Conference after losing last weekend at league-leader UNLV (70-61). The Rams are at San Diego State (2-3, 13-5) on Wednesday before hosting New Mexico (4-1, 11-7) on Saturday. CSU defeated San Diego State 67-56 on January 1 in Fort Collins.

Northern Colorado (1-3, 8-7) is tied for eighth in the Big Sky Conference. After splitting a pair of games last weekend in Greeley against the Montana schools, the Bears play at Portland State (0-3, 3-9) on Thursday and at Sacramento State (1-2, 8-8) on Saturday.
Denver (0-4, 7-10) has dropped its last four games and host Oral Roberts (2-2, 12-5) on Wednesday before playing at Omaha (1-2, 9-7) on Saturday.
