It was a great weekend for us. On Thursday, we went 2-0 against Adams State in an overtime game that ended 92-88, and on Saturday, we won over New Mexico Highlands 69-63.

Armon Muldrew had an excellent weekend for us and scored 20 against Adams State and 24 against New Mexico Highlands. We needed to get back in the win column and beat the Highlands, as they got us in a non-conference game earlier this year.
Jude Tapia is the watchlist player from Adams State. He is a crafty player for the Grizzlies who can get off shots from the 3-point line with little space from a defender. A diminutive guard, he puts the ball on the floor to create for his teammates and can make complex finishes.
From New Mexico Highlands, Kenard Richardson is having a good year and ended with 25 points against us on Saturday. Richardson is always a threat when the ball is in his hands and is looking to score or get to the free throw line. He ended with 12 free throws in the game and drew a lot of fouls throughout the game.
The women split this weekend, winning against Adams State 77-60 and losing to New Mexico Highlands 77-71.
This coming week, the Pack hosts Colorado Mesa and Westminster. The women are up first on both days at Massari Arena, with Thursday’s game starting at 5:30 p.m. and a 1 p.m. tipoff on Saturday on Coach Harry Simmons Court.
On the football side, I am excited to watch the two NFL games between the Commanders and Eagles and the must-watch game between the Bills and Chiefs. I predict that the Eagles and Bills will make it to the playoffs.
I was half right with the Eagles flying high to New Orleans and the Bills shuffling back to Buffalo.
Watching Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen battle in the regular season and playoffs is always fun. Josh Allen hasn’t been able to top the Chiefs in the playoffs, and I thought this might be the year they get them.
I don’t know if people know it, but there is an ongoing prediction that the Super Bowl Roman numerals used to promote the Super Bowl always have two colors and that the colors represent the two teams that will make it. This year, for Super Bowl 59, the colors are red and light green, which could be a foretelling of the Eagles and Chiefs.
