Monday celebrated two new hires as men’s collegiate basketball coaches in the Centennial State as the University of Denver named Tim Bergstraser its 34th head coach.

Vice Chancellor for Athletics and Ritchie Center Operations Josh Berlo announced Bergstraser’s hiring as the new Pioneer coach is scheduled to meet with the media at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at DIU’s Hamilton Gymnasium.  The session will be streamed live on the Summit League Network.  READ MORE

Bergstraser posted a three-season mark of 75-22 at Minnesota State University Moorhead, highlighted by this season’s 25-9 record that saw the Dragons win their third Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament title in the last four years. MSUM reached the NCAA Central Regional Final for the first time since 2014-2015.
