Baseball concludes RMAC championship slate

Colorado Christian captured its second Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference title this spring as the Cougars added the softball hardware to their trophy case following the men’s golf plaque won in late April.

The final RMAC Championships will be held for baseball starting Wednesday in Grand Junction.  Colorado Mesa hosts the event for the 13th straight season.  Other schools competing will be Regis, MSU Denver, CSU Pueblo, Adams State, and UCCS, qualifying for the six-school event.

With Colorado Mesa being the defending RMAC All-Sports Cup champion, the Mavericks have four titles (women’s wrestling, men’s & women’s swimming & diving, and men’s lacrosse) this season.

Colorado Mines, the 2022-2023 RMAC All-Sports Cup champion, has won four tournament championships this season (men’s cross country, women’s soccer, women’s indoor track & field, and men’s basketball) this school year, along with the men’s regular-season wrestling title.

With the two outdoor track & field titles for men and women, UC Colorado Springs has claimed four RMAC championship trophies this season.  In the winter, the Mountain Lions were the title winners in men’s indoor track & field and women’s basketball.

CSU Pueblo has three championships to its credit this season, highlighted by a three-peat for the women’s golf team..  The Pack captured the regular-season football title after topping the RMAC regular-season and postseason standings in men’s soccer.

Adams State (women’s cross country), MSU Denver (women’s volleyball), and Regis (women’s lacrosse) have captured other RMAC championships this school year.
