College soccer rankings list 7 Colorado schools

Led by the University of Denver men’s team, seven Colorado-based schools are nationally ranked in the preseason collegiate polls by the United Soccer Coaches.

The list features five men’s teams in NCAA Division I (Denver), II (CSU Pueblo, Fort Lewis, and UC Colorado Springs), and III (Colorado College), and two women’s teams in NCAA Division II (Colorado Mines and Colorado Mesa).

  • Denver (15-3-5 record last season) is ranked fourth in the NCAA Division I poll.  In the national semi-finals of the previous season, the Pioneer men open the 2025 campaign at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the DU Soccer Stadium against Washington.   RANKINGS / RELEASE
  • CSU Pueblo (17-4-3), Fort Lewis (14-4-6), and UC Colorado Springs (14-3-4) are third, sixth, and 17th, respectively, in the NCAA Division II men’s polls.  RANKINGS
  • CSU Pueblo faces a major rebuilding program with 27 new players on the roster for first-year head coach Nick Blackwell. The ThunderWolves reached the NCAA Division II National Championship match in 2022 and 2023, before earning another Final Four appearance in 2024.  The Pack hosts Colorado College on Sunday in Pueblo.
  • UC Colorado Springs men are the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference preseason favorite, and the program has a trio of seniors on the preseason all-league squad: defender Rory Scott and forwards Miles Seminario and Nick Walker.  The Mountain Lions play at CC on Friday.
  • Fort Lewis is second in the RMAC poll behind UCCS and ahead of CSU Pueblo, the defending regular season and tournament champions.  The Skyhawks host New Mexico United Academy on Friday in Durango.
  • Colorado College (16-3-3) is listed 20th in the NCAA Division III men’s rankings.  The Tigers host UCCS on Friday and have a match at CSU Pueblo on Sunday.
  • Colorado Mines (20-1-2) and Colorado Mesa (14-2-4) are ranked fourth and 22nd in the NCAA Division II women’s polls.  RANKINGS
  • The Mines women are the RMAC preseason favorites, as the Orediggers have won two of the last three league titles, highlighted by an NCAA quarterfinal finish last season.  Mines opens the season September 4 and 6 in Texas against Angelo State and Lubbock Christian, respectively.  READ MORE
  • Colorado Mesa is third in the RMAC preseason poll behind UCCS.  The Mavericks host two Lone Star Conference schools – St. Edwards (September 4) and St. Mary’s (September 6) – in Grand Junction to open the season.  READ MORE
