Colorado (12-4, 2-1) nearly pulled off a huge home upset over 14th-ranked Texas Tech on January 10, using an incredible comeback to cut a 24-point deficit to two and the Buffs had a shot to win at the buzzer.  CU this week heads east for a pair of road games in the ultra-competitive Big XII Conference.

Three other teams in the state have reached the 10-win mark thus far.  Colorado State (11-5, 2-3) also takes to the road for a couple conference games, and remains as one of the top 20 teams in the country in terms of field goal percentage.

Northern Colorado (11-6, 1-3) has lost three of the last four since upsetting CU at the end of 2025.  The Bears are on the road for three of the next four games, starting with a trip to Portland State, the only Big Sky team which is undefeated in conference play.

CSU Pueblo (10-4, 4-2) has a three-game winning streak with two home games scheduled this week, hosting Colorado Mines (8-9, 4-2) and Regis (1-11, 0-6).

Fort Lewis (8-5, 6-0) is the only team undefeated in RMAC play this season.  The Skyhawks will face a tough test this week with games at South Dakota (currently tied for third in the RMAC) and then at 15th-ranked Black Hills State.  Black Hills State is coming off an upset loss at MSU Denver (5-9, 2-2) when the Yellow Jackets were ranked 11th.
