The final matches of the 30th annual Colorado Premier Challenge will be played in three brackets on Saturday, featuring the nation’s top NCAA Division II women’s volleyball teams at MSU Denver and Regis.

Winning both of their matches on Friday to capture their pools as expected were No. 2-ranked Wayne State of Nebraska (Pool 3) and No. 5 Ferris State of Michigan (Pool 2).  Lewis of Illinois captured Pool 1 via tiebreaker, as all three schools posted 1-1 records.  Lewis upset No. 3 Concordia-St. Paul of Minnesota before losing to No. 37 Palm Beach Atlantic of Florida.

No. 14 Angelo State of Texas posted a 3-0 win over host and defending NCAA Division II champion No. 7 MSU Denver to win Pool 4 and advance to the Gold bracket, which determines the Colorado Premier Challenge champion.

Competing with MSU Denver in the “Silver” bracket Saturday will be Central Missouri,  West Texas A&M, and Concordia-St. Paul.  Participating in the “Bronze” bracket with Regis will be Bentley of Massachusetts, Anderson of South Carolina, and Palm Beach Atlantic.
