

Led by Western Colorado lineman Ricky Freymond, the top defensive player in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and Super Region 4, and Colorado Mines punter Blake Doud, nine NCAA Division II football players from colleges and universities in Colorado earned All-American recognition on three different teams.
Freymond and Doud were first-team All-Americans, as named by the ASSOCIATED PRESS (AP), the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), and the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA).


CSU Pueblo wide receiver Reggie Retzlaff and Colorado Mesa linebacker Colin Stuhr were named on all three teams. Retzlaff, the RMAC offensive player of the year, was on the first team by AP and the AFCA and second team by D2CCA. Stuhr was on the first team by AP and the second team by the AFCA and D2CAA.

Offensive lineman Nic Van de Graaf of Colorado Mines was listed on the AP and D2CAA’s first team.
Colorado Mines wide receivers Flynn Schiele of Colorado Mines (second team AP and D2CAA) and Max McLeod (second team AFCA) were also recognized as All-Americans, along with CSU Pueblo defensive back Daniel Bone III (second team AP) and Western Colorado quarterback Drew Nash (second team AP all-purpose).
