Despite setbacks in their final two games in the post-season, the 2024-2025 Colorado College women’s basketball team campaign will be remembered as the best in the school’s history.
Coach Katherine Auguste’s quintet compiled a program-best 23-4 record and earned CC’s its second NCAA Tournament appearance. The Tigers also captured the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference’s Blue Division regular season title with a 15-1 record.
For the first time in over five decades, CC compiled 20 or more wins in consecutive seasons and set a program record with a 13-0 mark at home. The Tigers posted 20-5, 20-8, and 20-8 marks for the 1979, 1980, and 1981 campaigns. The 20-8 record for the 2023-2024 was the first 20-victory campaign since 1981. The program’s first and only NCAA appearance was in 1990.
In CC’s last game on Friday in Whitewater, Wis., the Tigers dropped a 79-52 decision to UW-LaCrosse despite a 16-point, 13-rebound effort by two-time SCAC player of the Year Zoë Tomlinson, who posted her 23 double-doubles this season, the third most in the country.
Tomlinson finished the season averaging 22.6 points, 13.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.2 blocked shots per game. For her 108-game career at CC, Tomlinson scored 1,696 points (15.7 average) and grabbed 1,281 rebounds (11.9). She shot 55.2 percent (659 of 1,195) from the field with 68 career double-doubles.
