UCCS, Adams State & Mesa drop NCAA playoff game in Texas

While Air Force, Colorado, and Colorado State await possible post-season basketball bids, three women’s schools from the Rocky Mountain Conference opened NCAA Division II Championship play on Friday at the South Central Regionals in Denton, Texas.

RMAC post-season champions UC-Colorado Springs (19-12) had a one-point lead with 75 seconds left in its contest with Lubbock Christian but could not stop Grace Foster in the closing minute as the Lady Chaps posted a 68-65 win over the Mountain Lions.

Foster, LCU’s leading scorer, finished the Lady Chaps scoring with seven points in the final minute to end the game with 32 points.  Amyah Moore Allen led UCCS with 20 points.  Maison White scored 11 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Mountain Lions.  READ MORE
