
Ken DeWeese, an assistant coach at Colorado State, has been named the seventh head men’s basketball coach at Colorado Mesa, replacing Mike Dunlap, who resigned in March due to health reasons. READ MORE
In his first head-coaching assignment, DeWeese has been an assistant coach at Idaho (2004-2005), Mary Hardin Baylor (2005-2009), Utah Valley (2009-2010), UTEP (2010-2016), Northern Colorado (2016-2020), Wyoming (2020-2024), and CSU (2024-2026).
DeWeese played collegiately at Mary Hardin Baylor (NCAA III, Belton, Texas) for three seasons and earned a degree in Exercise and Sport Science in 2003. He earned a master’s degree in Sports Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth, where he also served as a graduate assistant coach for the basketball program.
His father coached 22 seasons at Mary Hardin Baylor (1998-2020) and posted a 400-195 record.
