CSU Pueblo hosts Women’s NCAA Golf Regionals

CSU Pueblo will have home course advantage next week as the Thunderwolves will serve as host of the Women’s NCAA Golf West Regionals.  The three-day, 54-hole event takes place at the Pueblo Country Club from May 4-6 and consists of 18 teams and six individuals from teams not selected.  There are a total of four regionals, each with 18 teams and six individuals, with the West advancing the top five teams and top two individuals to the national championships in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. from May 12-16.  NCAA SELECTION STORY

Neige Dunn

CSU Pueblo is the fifth-seeded team in the West, while Colorado Christian has qualified as the number 17 seed.  Additionally, Metro State Denver’s Neige Dunn has earned a spot as one of the six individuals.  The Thunderwolves recently won the RMAC championship for the fourth consecutive year and was ranked 26th in the latest DII Coaches Poll.  The best 54-hole score in CCU’s program history came in the 2022 NCAA West Regionals (873) as the team advanced to its first ever appearance in the NCAA Championships.  The Cougars will look to equal that feat as this year’s squad is experienced with three seniors and a junior.  Dunn is a junior who just set the lowest single season stroke average (75.5) in program history, and is the first Roadrunner to compete in the NCAA Regionals since 2016.  READ MORE
