After winning its seventh-straight women’s Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference lacrosse title, 19th-ranked Regis will compete in its ninth NCAA Division II Championships as the third-seeded Rangers (12-4) will be in St. Louis on Thursday to play sixth-seeded Rockhurst (14-5) at 2 p.m. READ MORE / BRACKET
It will be the second meeting this season between the two schools as Regis posted an 11-7 win over Rockhurst on March 11. The winner of the match will challenge second-seeded Maryville (14-4) on Sunday at 11 a.m.
Sarah Kellner is in her 20th season at Regis and has compiled a 238-84 (73.9 percent) coaching record with the Rangers. Kellner ranks among the top 10 winningest Division II lacrosse coaches.
Pacing the Regis attack are Lexie Springman (49 goals, 69 points), Maggie Schipfer (56, 68), and Aubrey Benton (54, 60). Last month, the Rangers defeated Colorado Mesa (17-10) and Westminster (14-5) for the RMAC title.
