Navi Bruzon from Colorado State Pueblo has been named the third 2026 recipient of the player-of-the-week honors presented by the Colorado Chapter of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame. RELEASE

Bruzon is the second CSU Pueblo to win the honor after linebacker Carter Daniels was the first recipient this season. Colorado State quarterback Hauss Hejny snared the second weekly honor.
In fifth-ranked CSU Pueblo’s 45-17 win over Colorado Mines in the Steel City last Saturday, Bruzon completed 22-of-27 passes for a career-high 421 yards and four touchdowns and added nine yards rushing for a season-high 430 yards of total offense. A sophomore from Peoria, Ariz., Bruzon connected on touchdown passes of 75, 66, 24, and 38 yards.
Through three games this season, Bruzon is 61-for-87 passing for 1,022 yards, has thrown 11 touchdown passes and two interceptions, has accounted for 1,081 yards of total offense, and has had a hand in 12 of the Pack’s 17 touchdowns.
Currently, Bruzon leads the RMAC in completion percentage (70.1 percent), passing efficiency (205.9), passing touchdowns (11), passing yards (1,022), and passing yards per game (340.7), passing yards per completion (16.75), points responsible for (72 points), points responsible for per game (24.0), and total offense (360.3).
Bruzon, named Monday the RMAC offensive POW, is tied for the Division II lead in touchdown passes, second in passing efficiency, passing yards, and points responsible for, fourth in passing yards per game, and fifth in total offense.
Since the relaunch of the football program at CSU Pueblo in 2008, the Pack has had 27 players recognized 39 times. Bruzon is the eighth ThunderWolves quarterback to receive the award and the fourth in the last 3-plus seasons under Coach Phil Vigil.

A senior from Santa Barbara, Calif., Benjamin Rodriguez had five total tackles (four solo), with one sack for yards and a 15-yard interception return in Adams State’s 44-8 setback at Black Hills State.
In Air Force’s 38-32 setback to North Dakota State at Falcon Stadium, senior linebacker Blake Fletcher of Racine, Wis., had a career-high 14 tackles (eight solo) and an 85-yard interception return for a touchdown. The tackle total is the most by a Falcon since 2022, and his interception return for a touchdown is the first by a Falcon since Alec Mock’s feat versus Navy in 2023. The 85-yard return is the seventh-longest in program history and the longest since Tre Bugg III versus Hawaii in 2021. He has led the Falcons in tackles in both games this season.
Against FCS Weber State in the 52-21 Colorado win, freshman quarterback Julian Lewis from Carrollton, Ga., established or tied 10 school records by completing 17-of-23 passes for 366 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions. He also had a rushing touchdown, and did so in just over half of the action; he came out after the first drive of the third quarter.
Sophomore linebacker Dante Vigil from Golden (Forge Christian) had 17 tackles in Colorado Mesa’s 30-24 overtime win at South Dakota Mines.
Hauss Hejny continued his “hot” start as the Colorado State quarterback as the second-year player from Aledo, Texas, accounted for five touchdowns and 410 yards of offense (35 plays) in CSU’s 58-24 win over visiting Southern Utah. He passed for 325 yards and four scores and had a 75-yard touchdown run.
Senior Jacob Morris posted career highs in completions (24), attempts (45), and touchdown passes (3), finishing four yards shy of his career-best 270 passing yards as Fort Lewis beat New Mexico Highlands 31-28 in overtime in Durango.
Morris has led Fort Lewis to a 2-0 start for the first time since 1979. The Skyhawks also won their first overtime contest since 2018 and began RMAC play 1-0 for the first time since 2019. FLC have started a season 2-0 just six times overall since 1963.
Fifth-year defensive end Ezra Ekuban from Parker (Regis Jesuit) finished with six total tackles (four solo), a career-high three tackles for loss, one sack, and a forced fumble in Northern Colorado’s 21-13 setback at Wyoming.
In leading eighth-ranked Western Colorado to a 30-9 win over Chadron State in Gunnison, Josiah Roy from Colorado Springs (Pine Creek High) completed 24 of 40 passes for 326 yards and two touchdowns.
