Capra has received the NFFCC POW recognition for the second time this season. He is the 37th player to win the award multiple times since it began in 2002. Overall, Mines has had 23 players earn 41 POW certificates.
When Mines started its current four-game winning streak on September 19 with a 34-3 win over Fort Lewis in Golden, Capra went 16-of-22 for 267 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 55 net yards in three quarters of play. This effort earned him his first NFFCC POW certificate.

Linebacker Carter Daniels (Week 0) and quarterback Navi Bruzon (Week 2) from Colorado State Pueblo, quarterback Hauss Hejny (Week 1) from Colorado State, Capra (Week 3) and Barnes (Week 5) of Mines, and quarterbacks Liam Szarka (Week 4) and Medders (Week 6) of the United States Air Force Academy were the first seven NFFCC recipients.
