The three scores were the most by a Falcon in a game since 2023. Seven of his 11 offensive touches went for first downs or touchdowns, as the 62-yard receiving touchdown was the second-longest of his career.

Martavius French

Martavius French, graduate student, Colorado linebacker from Memphis, Tenn. – In the Buffs’ 27-20 setback to visiting Georgia Tech, he was at the center of Colorado’s defensive effort, recording six total tackles and registering one and a half tackles for loss. He also provided two of the game’s most enormous momentum swings, recovering two fumbles in the first quarter, the first of his career, to halt Georgia Tech drives and give the Buffaloes prime field position.

Trek Keyworth

Trek Keyworth, a sophomore Colorado Mesa wide receiver from Windsor, Colo. – During Colorado Mesa’s 41-14 setback at Central Washington, Keyworth had a big game receiving in the season opener against No. 21 Central Washington with four catches for 147 yards (both career-highs) and a touchdown. His touchdown came in the fourth quarter on a 66-yard catch and run.

Jalen Dupree

Jalen Dupree, a freshman Colorado State running back from Benton, Ark. – In the Rams’ 38-21 setback at Washington, Depress logged a career-high 92 rushing yards and a touchdown in his first-career start. His touchdown came on a 15-yard carry to tie the game before halftime. He also caught two passes for three yards.  On Monday, Dupress was named the Mountain West Conference’s Freshman of the Week.

Reggie Retzlaff

Reggie Retzlaff, senior CSU Pueblo wide receiver from Corona, Calif. – In leading sixth-ranked CSU Pueblo to a 43-0 win at home versus RMAC rival South Dakota Mines, Retzlaff caught six passes for 99 yards and had two touchdown receptions of 12 yards and 34 yards. The two TD receptions helped Retzlaff become CSU Pueblo’s all-time leader in TD catches with 26. He broke the record with his 12-yard TD pass just five minutes into the game. With his six catches for 99 yards against South Dakota Mines, Retzlaff moved into fourth on the school’s all-time pass reception list with 121 and is third in career pass receiving yards with 2,132. After finishing 5th in NCAA DII with 122 total tackles last season, Penney picked right up where he left off, racking up the 2nd-most total tackles and solo tackles in the RMAC and the state of Colorado, and tied for the 7th-most total tackles and 5th-most total tackles in DII through the opening weekend of college football. He recorded his 10th career game with 10+ tackles and his second career game with 10+ solo tackles. Near single-handedly stalled out a WJC drive in the fourth quarter, making a solo tackle, assisted tackle, and another solo tackle in succession to force a 3-and-out. After Saturday, Penney now boasts 216 career tackles and sits 52 tackles outside of Fort Lewis’ top 10 all-time tackles through just 23 career games. Penney moved up to 7th all-time in career solo tackles (151) for Skyhawks football. He chases Shane Voss’ (1990-1993) program record of 196 by just 45 solo tackles.
