CCU golf ends season in National Championship quarterfinals

The Colorado Christian University golf program has had incredible success the past few years, winning the national championship in 2024 and then placing second last season following a playoff in the final contest.  Last August the school chose recent graduate Cameron Sandland as the new head coach, and in his first season he nearly took the team back to the championship.  The Cougars were pitted against #3 Florida Southern in the quarterfinals of the Division II NCAA National Championships, and the match was not decided until the final hole, with FSU winning by one stroke and then eventually winning the title.  READ MORE

Senior Peyton Jones and graduate student Lance Christensen Jr. both won their matches in the competition.  Christensen Jr. finished second in stroke play after recording three eagles and two birdies on the final round for a 64, his best round at CCU.
